Mammals, not humans

If you’ve been on my website for even a minute, you get the sense that I love babies. I might even be obsessed with babies.

Parenthood photography - babies before they are born, while they are born, and after they are born - is definitely my specialty and my passion. This year I even tried the ambitious project of newborn photography with other species - so far, only mammals. It turns out that some newborn animals are much like human babies (I can wrap them, rock them, shush them to sleep), and some are nothing at all like human babies (the piglet was not interested in the slightest in even being touched, and the skunk could be only loosely cajoled). The degree of domestication clearly plays a role, but I had a blast trying with every project!

Do you have a newborn animal in your life that I need to photograph? I’d love to hear from you!
