Newborn Photography: The Squishiest Days
Many new parents are ambivalent or undecided about having photos done - and it is a commitment, to get out of the house within those earliest days when night and day have been jumbled and you’re different people. But no one ever regrets doing newborn photos.
Maybe you feel guilty that your first child didn’t have photos done and you’re already running the exhausting tally of making sure that both kids feel equally seen. But your first-born had experiences and opportunities that your next can never have, simply by inherent birth order. Plus, this is the opportunity to get professional photos of both of your children, together.
You will feel time’s inexorable tug, unspooling in the too-long days and too-fast years of parenthood. The only way to slow that spool is photos. No one ever regrets having more photos - they only mourn not having taken enough.
